Emmalee is not huge on spicy things, so while she and Ana didn’t bond over tacos, they did bond over baked goods. Like most friendships, Ana does not remember all the exact details of how they came together, but she could not imagine life without her now. Bravery consists in being willing to share your heart with someone even if it’s been hurt before. Ana has known good people but true friendship, those willing to stay with you even in the face of adversity, is a rare thing. Ana is beyond blessed to have that kind of relationship with Emmalee.

There have been many great duos over the years, Batman and Robin, Han Solo and Chewbacca, Spock and Captain Kirk, but while they might not have their own nerd fan base, Missy counts her friendship with Emmalee equally as epic. Initially their friendship was based entirely on Missy helping Emmalee pass chemistry (“Thank God my best friend is a Doctor!” Emmalee likes to say). Now, it’s based on mutual respect for what each woman can bring to the world. So while Emmalee and Missy may not be flying around in capes or trekking through space and time, theirs is still a great adventure full of mystery, witty jokes, and just a dash of love. Also ice cream, lots and lots and lots of ice cream because everyone needs a best friend to share an ice cream cone with.
